Remixing gets you in the mindset of putting the ideas first. It gets you to concentrate on the parts instead of the whole - instead of thinking ' my painting doesn't look like this artist's at all' you think 'my painting isn't hitting these right ideas'...


Of course form is an important way of understanding the ideas of a creative media. By doing a master copy you can understand their thought process, appreciate how to translate physical skills into something more...
